An HPC/AI data center campus at the Panther Creek waste-coal power plant site in Nesquehoning, Carbon County. In August 2025 Bitfarms engaged T5 Data Centers to provide pre-construction design, development-approval and construction guidance. This is a separate record from the already-tracked Panther Creek plant / crypto-mining operation at the same site, as with the split Homer City generation and campus records. The planned capacity of 350 MW follows Bitfarms' October 2025 financing release, in which Macquarie describes a '350 MW HPC/AI campus', and WFMZ's August 2026 report that, according to the website of Keel Infrastructure (formerly Bitfarms Ltd.), the campus has secured capacity of 350 MW, with possible expansion to 510 MW. As of October 2026, none of the cited sources confirms trade reports of a 350 MW firm power contract by 2028 (scalable toward 500 MW+). A February 2026 report carried by Yahoo Finance states, citing Times News Online, that the Nesquehoning Planning Commission granted a special exception permit; the same report says a $50 million draw in October 2025 accelerated equipment orders and substation construction. In April 2026 the Carbon County Planning Commission recommended conditional rejection of the Carbon Node East Development plan, and the DEP scheduled a public meeting and hearing for August 20, 2026 on the developer's NPDES permit application.
