Giga Watt (formerly MegaBigPower, founded by ex-Microsoft engineer Dave Carlson) was a pioneering Mid-Columbia Basin Bitcoin miner/hosting operator in the Pangborn Business Park, East Wenatchee, Douglas County. Filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Nov 2018 (Eastern District of WA), owing Douglas County PUD $310K+ among other creditors. As of March 2023 (Wenatchee World), the Port of Douglas County was awarded a $50,000 grant to study alternative future uses (e.g. startup/small-distribution cluster) for the former mine property, confirming the site is defunct/non-operational, not merely dormant. Capacity omitted per cancelled-site convention. Distinct from Salcido's Pangborn Data Center, a separate, still-operating parcel in the same business park.
