The Tonawanda Seneca Nation, whose territory borders the site, wrote in April 2025 that it "strongly opposes any allocation of low-cost hydropower to a data center at STAMP"; more than 100 environmental, faith and human rights organizations plus 500 individuals statewide signed a letter opposing the project, and Stream's FIRST, smaller STAMP proposal was cancelled following a lawsuit by the Nation. The earlier proposal drew "nearly 800 written comments, 50 spoken comments made at a public hearing."

GCEDC states a "$19.46 billion" capital investment and "$285 million in PILOT/host revenues" for Genesee County, the Town of Alabama and the Oakfield-Alabama Central School District, with a public hearing "Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at the Town of Alabama Fire Hall, 2230 Judge Road, Basom, NY 14013." Investigative Post reports the incentive package as "$1.46 billion in tax breaks for the creation of 125 jobs," of which "$1.43 billion in sales tax breaks" and "a $31 million mortgage tax break". The planned capacity of 500 MW records the sentence "Stream has said it will use 500 megawatts of electricity, more than 80 percent of all the power available at the STAMP industrial park" - this is stated electricity use, not a certified IT load or an interconnection award. Reported figures conflict: (a) acreage - Investigative Post says the campus spans "over 90 acres at the 1,250-acre industrial park" and the land area is set to 90; an aggregator listing gives 130 acres and had not been verified as of September 2026, so it is not used. (b) construction jobs - GCEDC's CEO is quoted at "an additional 1,000 workers temporarily," while "the agency reports on its cost-benefit analysis for the project which says construction will employ more than 16,000"; the lower, attributed figure is recorded. (c) capital cost has moved from "$6.3 billion a year ago" to "$11 billion" to "$19 billion"; the GCEDC-published $19.46B is used. As of 2026-09-09, no source retrieved states a water withdrawal volume for the campus, a confirmed hydropower allocation (the Tonawanda Seneca Nation letter opposes a prospective allocation, which is not the same as one being granted), or a construction start date - so no energy source is recorded.
