Reported 2026-01-13: 'Nate Golden of Golden Acquisitions' is purchasing the building at 1341 Sycamore View and working with The STEM Practice, described as 'a tech company that works with Oracle,' to build a modular AI data center ('will be modular instead' of a hyperscale build like xAI's Colossus). Timeline per the source: 'the plan is to have part of the data center running by May 1.' Data Center Dynamics (January 15, 2026) reports that the existing four-story building, built in 1983, is set on a 1.5-acre parcel, that the first phase of the 38,500-square-foot data center could be live by May 2026, and that the site could offer up to 9MW at full build-out; it also reports Golden saying on LinkedIn that the Memphis site is one of four Tennessee data center locations slated to open in May 2026. The 9MW full build-out figure is recorded as planned capacity and the 1.5-acre parcel as the land area. A secondary aggregator (datacentermap.com, not independently fetched as of September 2026) reports the same figures and states this is one of four planned STEM Practice sites in Tennessee.
