1475 SE Maffitt Lake Road - a distinct 146-acre campus from 'Ginger West' (11100 Booneville Rd, different parcel; tracked separately as of August 2026). Building 1 (250,000 sq ft) came online in 2023 (as of October 2026, Baxtel lists the year built as 2023 and the facility as operational). The campus is listed as under construction because later buildings were permitted in June 2024: Go West Des Moines, citing the Des Moines Business Record, reports two further data center permits at this address, each for 244,676 square feet; up to 5 buildings / ~1.8M sq ft planned campus-wide (Microsoft's own naming convention pairs Ginger East/West as siblings but they are separate parcels/addresses). No investment figure is recorded for the campus: Go West Des Moines, citing the Des Moines Business Record, gives $384 million for each of the two Ginger East permits issued in June 2024, which is a per-building permit valuation, not campus spending. As of October 2026, the Baxtel project page and the Go West Des Moines article cited here give no detail on public input, hearing testimony, or resident or official reaction to the permits.
