The county staff report describes roughly 1.8 million square feet in four buildings of about 450,000 square feet each; an earlier Illinois Times report described six buildings of about 250,000 square feet. Roughly $500 million, about 600 megawatts at full build, more than 100 permanent jobs. Hundreds attended the April 2026 County Board meeting; more than 60 signed up to speak and public comment was capped at one hour. Board approved 17-10 across party lines.
