Faces a federal lawsuit (moved from Faulkner County Circuit Court to U.S. District Court, E.D. Ark.) brought by Bono/Greenbrier/Damascus-area neighbors (incl. resident Gladys Anderson, whose autistic son is disturbed by the noise) over noise, property devaluation, and power usage; company installed sound barriers that residents say are insufficient. Faulkner County's noise ordinance is separately being challenged by the company as targeting it over 'anti-Chinese sentiment.' Arkansas AG and Secretary of Agriculture are investigating the company's ownership/Chinese-government-affiliation questions.
