Bismarck-based Enerfore Digital (six ND sites, ~200MW combined per company site) proposed a 20,000 sq ft cryptomining facility on a 10-acre site in Dry Fork Township, Williams County ('Pleasant Valley Data Center'). Initial July 2024 application was denied for sitting inside the county's 1-mile residential setback (three homes nearby); company appealed citing noise-mitigation plans, Williams County Commission granted a temporary bypass in September 2024 to conduct a noise survey, then approved a conditional use permit 4-1 on 2025-02-04 (dissenting commissioner cited landowner-consent concerns). Company targeted operational by end of 2025; no primary source found this pass confirms the facility has actually gone live as of 2026-08, so status is held at under_construction/permitted rather than operational.
