Opposition and litigation at this site

Nothing on record as of September 9, 2026. No lawsuit, organized opposition, or contested hearing over CleanSpark Meridian Bitcoin Mining Facility in Meridian, Lauderdale County, Mississippi appears in the sources this registry tracks. That is an absence in our sources rather than a finding that none exists, and local opposition often predates any coverage a national dataset would pick up.

If you live near this site and something is happening that this page does not show, that is worth telling us. Send us the document and it goes in the record with the source attached. For sites where opposition is already established, see every contested site we track.

Power and water

CleanSpark's FY2025 10-K describes its Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee sites as "air-cooled", explicitly contrasted with its immersion-cooled sites in College Park GA and Cheyenne WY. Forced-air ASIC halls with no cooling-water circuit.

Notes on the record

One of three Mississippi sites (Meridian, Vicksburg, Wiggins) acquired together via subsidiary CSRE Properties Mississippi, LLC (a wholly-owned CleanSpark, Inc. subsidiary, not 'CleanSpark of Georgia, LLC,' an aggregator misattribution that returns zero hits in SEC full-text search) for $19,771K combined, closed 2024-02-26, from an initial $10,000,000 PSA. Combined three-site expected hashrate at announcement was 2.4 EH/s, not attributable per-site, so hashrate/MW is omitted here. CleanSpark's FY2025 10-K discloses Mississippi capacity only in aggregate (63 MW / 2.63 EH/s across 5 locations in 4 cities as of 2025-09-30); no per-site figure is disclosed anywhere. No street address disclosed. Air-cooled bitcoin ASIC mining per the 10-K's blanket description of CleanSpark's Georgia/Mississippi/Tennessee facilities, no AI/HPC evidence. CONFIRMED ABSENCE, no per-site capacityMw exists in CleanSpark's public record for Meridian, Vicksburg or Wiggins. Every disclosed figure is portfolio-level: 2.4 EH/s combined at acquisition, and a Mississippi portfolio of 60.5 MW that also includes two later Clinton-area sites (16.5 MW) NOT tracked as Compute Atlas records. Deriving a per-site MW from 60.5 minus 16.5 divided by three would be arithmetic on an aggregate, so capacityMw is left empty on all three rows deliberately. Filed against the Meridian row to avoid repeating the same negative three times; it applies to all three CleanSpark MS records.

What the record does not establish, and the document that would

In every fight on our tracker the decisive fact came out of a public records request. These are the requests for this site.

  • Power capacity in megawatts
  • Tax abatements or other public subsidy
  • Permanent jobs promised
  • How the community has received it
  • Which utility serves it
Which document closes each gap
Power capacity in megawatts
The utility's large load service agreement, the interconnection request in the grid operator's queue, or the electrical site plan in the permit file.
Tax abatements or other public subsidy
The abatement, PILOT, or development agreement approved by the county, city, or development authority, and the state's data center sales tax exemption certificate if one was issued.
Permanent jobs promised
The economic development application or incentive agreement, which usually states a job commitment and a clawback.
How the community has received it
Planning commission and governing body minutes, public comment records, and any petition or lawsuit filed in the county.
Which utility serves it
The electric service agreement or the utility's filing with the state public utility commission.

Distances are between recorded coordinates, many of which are a city or county centroid, so treat them as approximate. Cumulative load on one utility and one aquifer is the question a planning commission rarely asks.
