Nothing on record as of September 21, 2026. No lawsuit, organized opposition, or contested hearing over North Campbell Land Co. Hopkinsville 50 MW Data Center in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky appears in the sources this registry tracks. A new status, a permit, a reception finding, or a lawsuit. Nothing else, ever.

Power and water

The company says it would cover the estimated $8 to 10 million cost of a new 65 MW HES substation, with roughly 15 MW of that capacity available to other HES customers.

Notes on the record

A proposed second Hopkinsville facility, separate from the operator's existing ~15 MW bitcoin mine at the Holland Substation. The location, footprint, construction cost and development schedule have not been disclosed, so the coordinates are the Hopkinsville city centroid and are approximate only, the actual site is unknown. A draft Hopkinsville zoning amendment developed after this proposal surfaced would prohibit 'hyper-scale' facilities of 75 MW or more and set setbacks by size class; a special-called public hearing was held July 27, 2026.

What the record does not establish, and the document that would

In every fight on our tracker the decisive fact came out of a public records request. These are the requests for this site.

  • Tax abatements or other public subsidy
  • Permanent jobs promised
  • Land area
  • How the community has received it
Which document closes each gap
Tax abatements or other public subsidy
The abatement, PILOT, or development agreement approved by the county, city, or development authority, and the state's data center sales tax exemption certificate if one was issued.
Permanent jobs promised
The economic development application or incentive agreement, which usually states a job commitment and a clawback.
Land area
The rezoning application, the plat, or the deed recorded with the county.
How the community has received it
Planning commission and governing body minutes, public comment records, and any petition or lawsuit filed in the county.

Distances are between recorded coordinates, many of which are a city or county centroid, so treat them as approximate. Cumulative load on one utility and one aquifer is the question a planning commission rarely asks.
