Highwire's energy-producing assets (WY/SD/ND) were acquired by Creek Road Miners, Inc. on 2022-05-31. Creek Road Miners then merged with/renamed to Prairie Operating Co. (effective 2023-10-16) and repositioned entirely to conventional oil & gas E&P in the DJ Basin (Weld County, CO), the merger-completion press release (Yahoo Finance, read directly) makes no mention of the Wyoming crypto-mining assets or their disposition. DIVESTITURE-TRAP CAVEAT: no direct closure announcement for the Evansville site itself was found; status 'cancelled' here is inferred from the successor company's complete pivot away from crypto mining and silence on the WY assets in its own investor materials, verify current site use (satellite/local news) before intake.
