Notes on the record

Announced by Google in 2026 as a planned Indiana data center, distinct from Google's operational Fort Wayne site and its Morgan County (Monrovia) development. As of August 2026, no capacity figure had been published. Northwest Indiana Business Magazine, WNDU and WSBT (April 2026) each give the project cost as $832 million. Jobs figures are floors: Northwest Indiana Business Magazine reports that more than 500 construction workers will be needed, and quotes the executive director of the Economic Development Corp. of Michigan City describing "30-plus high-skill jobs" from the project, which the record counts as permanent jobs; the permanent figure is that official's statement, not a figure from Google. Coordinates are the Michigan City centroid (approximate).
