Opposition and litigation at this site

Nothing on record as of October 2, 2026. No lawsuit, organized opposition, or contested hearing over AlohaNAP (1547 HAII1) in Kapolei, Honolulu County, Hawaii appears in the sources this registry tracks. That is an absence in our sources rather than a finding that none exists, and local opposition often predates any coverage a national dataset would pick up.

If you live near this site and something is happening that this page does not show, that is worth telling us. Send us the document and it goes in the record with the source attached. For sites where opposition is already established, see every contested site we track.

A new status, a permit, a reception finding, or a lawsuit. Nothing else, ever.

Notes on the record

A carrier-neutral interconnection data center at 91-340 Farrington Hwy, Kapolei, next to Hawaii Pacific Teleport's teleport; PeeringDB lists the org as Hawaii Pacific Data LLC. It was developed by 1547 with Hawaii Pacific Teleport and reported fully operational in January 2015, about 2 miles inland and 130 ft above sea level. 1547's page says it has direct access to trans-Pacific fiber, the teleport, and an AWS Direct Connect designation. In October 2024, Harrison Street and 1547 announced they had acquired AlohaNAP and planned a Phase 1 expansion. It would add about 10,300 sq ft and 1.5 MW (~200 cabinets), for 22,800 sq ft and 2.7 MW in total. the capacity figure.planned = 2.7 is that stated post-expansion total; completion of the expansion was not confirmed. SPLIT NOTE: the tracked record hawaiki-cable-kapolei-hi currently folds AlohaNAP/HAII1 into the Hawaiki cable landing station and asks for a human split if that is wrong. Evidence they are separate sites: PeeringDB puts AlohaNAP about 4.6 km from the Hawaiki CLS at 92-384 Farrington Hwy (Kahe). Hawaiki's own 2025 Final EA describes that CLS as a ~3,850 sq ft building with two generators and one on-site staffer, not a 10,200+ sq ft colocation hall. Coordinates are PeeringDB's pin; the Census geocode of the same address is about 640 m west-northwest.

Distances are between recorded coordinates, many of which are a city or county centroid, so treat them as approximate. Cumulative load on one utility and one aquifer is the question a planning commission rarely asks.
